As a lover of all things natural and an avid gardener, I tend to also create using natural forms and organic lines.  This piece from my latest series is an homage to seeds or seed pods.  Seeds, to me, are like a tiny celebration and a promise all rolled into one – a celebration of the life of the plant and a promise for more to come.  That “more” can be another beautiful plant, but also the promise of the next spring and glorious summer that we yearn for in the darkness of winter. 

Seeds and seed pods also come in an astonishing array of structures and shapes.  From tiny to large, encased in a fruit or hard shell, each seed holds a little miracle inside itself.   It is my challenge and honour to recreate the form and hopefully hint at the miracles they contain.
